Our University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Kamil Çolak, and the Coordinator of the International Relations Office, Assistant Professor Mahmut Sami İşlek, conducted various meetings in Kosovo with the aim of advancing existing partnerships and initiating collaborations with new universities.

As part of these visits, our university delegation first paid a courtesy visit to Sabri Tunç Angılı, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Pristina. Subsequently, they visited Fulya Aslan, the Head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Office (TİKA) Pristina Program Coordination Office, to exchange ideas about TİKA's activities in Kosovo.

Following these meetings, Rector Prof. Dr. Kamil Çolak attended a meeting at the University of Pristina, with which our university has been successfully collaborating within the framework of the Erasmus+ ICM program for the past five years. The meeting was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Qerim Qerimi of the University of Pristina, as well as the university's vice-rectors responsible for international relations and the Erasmus office. During the meeting, discussions were held on possible activities to further enhance the collaboration between the two universities.

Following this meeting, a collaboration protocol was signed with Haxhi Zeka University, located in the city of Peja, Kosovo, with the decision to jointly develop an Erasmus+ ICM project in the 2024 project period. Professor Dr. Armand Krasniqi, the Rector of Haxhi Zeka University, emphasized the significance of this agreement as their first partnership with a university in Turkey and expressed his satisfaction with taking the first step towards a long-term collaboration. Rector Prof. Dr. Kamil Çolak expressed his hope that, within the scope of this collaboration agreement, mobility activities under Erasmus+ would be followed by joint research and scientific projects in the subsequent years.
